"I managed to get 4 good years out my previous Polaris 380. The Polaris 3900 has built in improvements to all of the things that became troublesome in trying to keep my Polaris 380 functioning at full capacity. No more ball bearing to wear out and need to be repalced. The tred on the Polaris 3900 tires lokks as if it will serve for cignificantly more hours of cleaning than the Polaris 380. I love the new bag design, easy removal, emptying, and the velcro holding it upright around the relocated water hose will make the bag far less susceptible to wear from dragging on the pool bottom."

"This is my third polaris cleaner in 10 years.. by far the best. A few complaints though, I had no idea I would need to invest another two hundred dollars and a lot of labor to install a pump and plumbing to my pool.. It does not work well with just the filter running unless you close up one of the returns to the pool. Now that I have the extra pump I have to run an extention cord to the house because two pumps and a solar heater keep tripping my electrical circut. All and all not a great experience but the pool is clean.. "
