I live in SC. The pool is inground, gunite, 12,000 gals. Would a heat pump be benificial for me? I want my water to be close to 90 degrees. I would only run it May through Sept. May is in the high 80’s and the rest is the low 90’s.

Hi Carin, thank you for your excellent question. The temperatures in South Carolina from May through September are certainly conducive to effective heat pump use. If you’d like to give us the length and width of your pool, we’d be happy to suggest a heat pump that would work well for you.

I put in a pool last year and now want to put in a heater. Looking at the options, heat pump vs conventional heater natural gas. I live in Houston Texas area, how many months can i get the temp up to 90 degrees. What kind of outside air temp do i need to get to 90 degrees?

I have 24feet long by 12 wide pool. Roughly around 12000 gallons pool, 6 deep. I live in Tampa Fl. I’m in the market for a heat pump. Can you please tell me which heat pump will be best for me? Also I looked into the easy temp heat pump made by Hayward. Is this nit a good choice? Should I go with the heat pro made by Hayward also?

I have a 16 x 32 fiberglass pool and I am looking to purchase a heat pump I live in N.J. and was wondering which would be a good fit for myself

    • PoolSupplyWorld

Hi Bill, for your location and pool size, we would recommend a heat pump that is 135,000 BTU or higher, such as the Jandy EE-Ti 140,000 BTU Heat Pump, 6.1 COP, 410A, 230V/60Hz/1 Phase, Heater, Titanium, Digital. This efficient heat pump has a programmable thermostat, a digital diagnostic control panel and a twisted titanium heat exchanger that will help provide maximum heat transfer and output. If you have further questions on the best heat pump for your pool, please feel free to contact us for immediate assistance.
