Polaris Pool Cleaner Model Differences |
| |
| Today we are going to go over the different types of Polaris pool cleaners so you can easily tell what you need and help you when your looking for a new or replacement cleaning unit. The first thing we will do to show the difference between the models is to separate which are suction side and which are pressure side (click here for more info about different cleaner types): |
| Suction Side |
| Suction side cleaners uses your existing filter system to produce the suction to clean your pool, some systems might have a dedicated vacuum line for the cleaner. Other wise it connects through the skimmer and sucks up debris then passes it through the filter as it works its way around the pool. |
| Pressure Side |
| Pressure side cleaners require a booster pump to power them and work there way around the pool, sucking up debris into their bag and sending the remaining water through to the filter. Your filter system must have a dedicated booster pump to operate. |
| Pressure Side without a booster pump |
| This pressure side cleaners does NOT require a booster pump, but works the same way as the 280 and 380, sucking up debris into their bag and sending the remaining water through to the filter. |
