Pentair Legend and Legend II Comparison

The Pentair Letro Legend and Legend II are 2 very similar pressure side pool cleaners that at first might look the same but are not. We are going to help you determine which one is right for you, the initial and most important question you need to answer is; “Does your pool have a booster pump?”

If you said “Yes”

Then you need the Letro Legend, this cleaner requires that you have a separate booster pump to ensure that your cleaner is going to run at optimum pressure and cleaning potential.

If you said “No”

You have 2 options, you can either A, purchase the Legend and a booster pump and install it to your existing system. Or B, you can go with the Letro Legend II which does not require a booster pump to operate and can run off your existing filter pump.

We recommend using a dual speed pump to save on energy usage and your wallet, with any of our pool cleaners.

Another important note about these two cleaners is that both can clean most pools in 1 – 3 hours, the Legend II uses dual thrust jets were the Legend uses 1 jet. Both of these cleaner are close to the same, the major differences are in what each needs to have to operate efficiently depending on how it is powered. Either cleaner would be a great upgrade or replacement cleaner for you pool.
