Here’s what were going to configure:
Setting the pump and booster pump to run at certain times
Set the temperatures for the pool and spa
Enable our water feature and lights
Setting Chlorine percentage output
How to manually turn on the heater pump |
Setting pump timers
The first thing we want to program is to have the pool pump run at low from 8 am to 5 pm and run at high from 8 am to 10 am. So first we need to highlight MENU and press select, then highlight PROGRAM and press select. Now we're in the program menu, so we highlight the FILTER PUMP and press select, now we want to highlight ADD PROGRAM and press select. You should now see a on and off time along with a range of days, you can change each of these to the time we want so ON is changed to 8 am and OFF is changed to 5 pm, we want this to happen every day so we select ALL DAYS and press select. To have the booster pump on from 8 am to 10 am we would repeat the process but select the AUX number that our booster pump is set to and set the appropriate times.

Programming pool/spa temperatures
We also want to set our pool and spa temperatures to remain we're we like them, the default temperature for the pool in 80 degrees F and the spa is 102 degrees F. If we want to change either of those we highlight MENU and press select, then highlight SET TEMP and pres select, now inside this menu you can select POOL HEAT or SPA HEAT and press select. Now you can adjust the individual temperatures and press select to apply.

Turning on Water features, pool lights, spa lights etc.
In order to control our water features we have to know which auxiliary slot they are wired into; in our case the water features are wired to AUX 2, the pool light is wired to AUX 3, and the spa light is wired into AUX 4. Turning these on is quite easy, we highlight EQUIPMENT ON/OFF and press select, then highlight which AUX we want to turn on and press select. The same process is taken to turn it off.

Setting chlorine percentage output
Since we are using a AquaPure chlorine generator, we can see the percentage of chlorine output and set it to what we would like it for our pool. To set the chlorine output level we first highlight MENU and press select, then highlight SET AQUAPURE and press select. We can now use the up and down arrow keys to change the percentage to best fit our pools needs and press select to apply the settings.

Turning on/off your heater pump
Since we have already programmed our pool and spa temperatures, we now need to turn on the heat pump to get them to heat up. You can set these to go on at a certain time of day just like the pool pump by following the same steps but selecting POOL HEAT or SPA HEAT from the program menu. If you would like to turn these on/off manually here’s what you do; highlight EQUIPMENT ON/OFF and press select, then highlight HEAT PUMP and press select. This enables/disables the heat pump. Note: the HEAT PUMP uses the SET TEMP as a set point for the temperatures.

This covers just a few of the controls that the Aqua link PDA-PS8 can control. You can refer to your user’s manual for other configurations and operations. |
