| |
In the world of infrared heaters there are two types of heaters Ceramic heaters and Carbon heaters. Each type of heater has its benefits and to help you decide which heater is right for you we put together this comparison chart. Keep in mind that both types of heaters provide the same infrared waves that can provide you with numerous health benefits. |

| Your information indicates the carbon heater cost one third more but does not state a dollar value. |

| You are correct. The carbon heaters that are out there come in a couple of different sizes. They come in a 1 person, 2 person, or 3 person model. It would be difficult to give a specific price with the various choices. If you’d like to learn more about the pricing on our carbon heaters you can always give us a call at 1-800-772-0467. Thanks for the great comment. |

| Hello Pat,
Great question. The carbon heaters are made with 7 layers. 6 of these layers are made of epoxy resin plates with carbon fiber heater paper being the very middle layer. Thank you for the great question. |

| Except for initial cost, it seems the carbon heater has an edge over ceramic. Your Blog states you need to know three important issues when purchasing a sauna but your add for the 2 Person (ceramic) Golden Sun Coronado model did not mention two of them. The percentage of far infrared heat waves that the carbon heater emits and the wattage of each emitter. |

| Hello Pat,
Unfortunately we don't have the exact percentage of far infrared heat that the carbon heaters emit. To learn more of the specifics you may want to speak to the manufacturer directly. As far as the wattage of each emitter, I can tell you that there are 6 emitters total. There are 5 emitters that are each 300W and 1 emitter that is 200W. This gives you a total of 1700W. Thanks for the great questions. |

| Hello Pam,
A micron is a unit of measurement. The micron is used to measure the electromagnetic spectrum which is divided into three segments of wavelength: near or close = 0.076 to 1.5 microns; middle or intermediate = 1.5 to 5.6; far or long = 5.6 to 1,000. Far Infrared is used in the heating of the Golden Sun saunas and they emit 5-12 microns of heat. This output corresponds to the body's radiant energy, which allows it to absorb 93% of infrared waves. Thanks for the great question. |
