Easily plugged into the control box, thermistors are temperature-sensitive resistors that monitor heat levels in your hot tub, keeping your spa electronics from overheating. The Watkins Control Thermistor works as a semiconductor, changing its heat resistance as your spa's temperature rises; if your spa exceeds 118 degrees, the thermistor shuts your electric system off for, protecting your hot tub from a potential meltdown. For specific hot tubs only, the Watkins Control Thermistor operates effectively on Hot Springs and Tiger River Spas.
