Looks like we have a trend, my unit is 9 months old and the plates have become detached and it is no longer functioning. The national rep tooks 2 weeks to respond and then responded with it must have been your water chemistry that caused the failure. $1000 down the drain. I will be going back to hayward as that unit lasted 5 years. Hope the reviews here help the next guys avoid the same costly pitfall.

I have had a Compupool CPSC unit for 16 months. The cell electrodes failed at the plate connection to the head. Compupool refused to replace it since my water total alkalinity was 80 even though my pool store said alkalinity 80-120 was perfect. Cost of part $423 even though an entire new unit and controller sells for $527! Warrenty is worthless.

I have had the cps 24 for about 2.5 years. One day it just stopped producing enough chlorine to sanitize the pool. Beware of the 3 year warranty. In the 3rd year, labor is not included and parts are 66% at an inflated price. Its a cheap unit that did not even last 3 years. Money down the drain. The unit leaks, cells are expensive and do not last, and warrenty is very misleading.

I have had the same problem as the previous poster and the distributor in Florida has done nothing but overcharge me for replacement parts which don't work. Based on my experience with this product I definitely do not recommend it.

The product arrived quickly and as advertised. The unit was set for 220v and instructions were clear on how to change to 110v by moving 2 jumper wires. The instructions were well in clear english, not like some converted instructions you get today. The unit has been in a week and the water is clearer than it was all last year with tablets. I would highly recommend this product to any do it yourselfer that wants to save a little money. I hope to get 4 to 5 years out of the cell, but we will see.
